Complete, Practical, Affordable
Oregon Culinary was founded on a simple idea: that a great culinary arts education must be complete, practical, affordable, and give its graduates the best possible foundation for a life in the food service industry. Oregon Culinary Institute is owned and operated by Pioneer Pacific College, a highly focused private career college offering diploma, associate, and bachelor's degree programs in Business, Healthcare, Information Technology and Legal. Pioneer Pacific College has been a regional leader in career education since 1981.
We Know What Executive Chefs Want
We know what executive chefs are looking for when they take on a new hire. They want someone who is skilled with a knife; who knows classic techniques such as sautéing, braising, and sauce preparation; who knows ingredients and can discern the nuances of flavor; who can arrange a plate aesthetically; and who can do it all quickly and efficiently.
Famed chef and author Jacques Pépin said it best:
"The greatest hindrance to good performance in the kitchen is an inadequate knowledge of basic technique."
Convenient Schedules to Meet Your Needs
Our programs at Oregon Culinary Institute are designed to fit your life! We begin a new four-term culinary arts curriculum every eight weeks, a new weekday baking and pastry program every 16 weeks, and a new weekend baking and pastry program every 32 weeks – so you can choose when to start. And classes are offered at convenient times allowing you to fit Oregon Culinary into your busy schedule.
