Crimson Technical College is dedicated to providing quality skill-based
programs that provide students with the knowledge, education, and
credentials needed to launch, enhance, or change careers. Our training
is based on industry standards. By teaching students the skills and
knowledge needed, we empower them to successfully pursue their
individual career goals. By serving a diverse, multicultural student
body, we promote teamwork, pride, and respect for the individual and
others.
The
17.5 month long Airframe and Powerplant program is divided into 14 units of
instruction. The curriculum includes three general units, five Airframe units,
five Powerplant units and an Inspection and Review unit. Each
unit lasts five weeks and covers a specific area of aircraft maintenance and
repair. Individual classes can have up to 45 students; however, the student
teacher ratio in the labs does not exceed 25:1. Classroom lecture, discussions, and hands-on
training, including the completion of individual projects are some of the
instructional strategies to enhance the student training.
